Basic Manicure
If this is your first time, it’s better to keep it simple and sweet. A primary manicure is fuss-free and is the best way to know what to anticipate during a manicure session. It’s fast and straightforward. Also, it’s easy to adjust if you are bored with it in a few days.
French Manicure
It’s chic. It’s stylish. A classic French manicure can never dissatisfy you. The crescent moon-like overcoats of white nail polish on the boundaries give your nails a crisp look.
Reverse French Manicure
The reverse French manicure is a quirky and contemporary version of the classic French manicure. However, unlike the latter, this has a crescent moon painted in a darker shade at the base of your nail, near the cuticle.
Paraffin Manicure
If you have rough and dehydrated hands, a Paraffin manicure is the best way to care for them. The manicure is like a specialised spa treatment for your hands.
Acrylic Manicure
Don’t have long nails? Then the acrylic manicure is your answer. It uses powder polymer and a liquid monomer to form a tough layer of the acrylic nail over your nails. It’s a nail extension that is ultimately camouflaged as your original nail. It’s best to get it done by an expert manicurist at a good salon.
Nail cutting
Your mobile beauty therapist may not always shorten your nails; it depends on your current and desired nail length. If your nails are already relatively short, filing will do just fine. However, if your nails are very long but you want them short for the manicure, they will often be cut and filed to your desired shape.
Nail filing and shaping
Manicurists use nail files to gently takedown and shape the boundaries of the nails. Your manicurist will ask you the nail shape you desire, with the norms being round or square. There are many more nail shapes, but these are the most typical. Again, it’s about aesthetic preferences and if you’re not sure, ask the professional what they think will fit your nails best.
Cutting and tidying cuticles
Cuticles are the dry skin enveloping the nail plate, where your nail and finger meet. We carry out waterless manicures; we use a cuticle remover to soften and extract the dead cuticle using a sterilised pusher and cuticle nipper. If you need more cuticle tidying, please don’t hesitate to let your nail artist know.
Buff to Shine
In the case of men’s manicures, or if you do not have polish, buffing will be the final step of your manicure. Next, your manicurist will polish the nail surface to create a consistent and shiny look using a nail buffer.
Nail Painting
Painting is done in numerous steps to attain a glossy and long-lasting outcome. First, a clear base coat is applied to your nails to help the polish stick nicely to your nails. It also creates a defensive barrier between your nails and nails polish’s damaging (staining, peeling, and brittleness). The next step is to apply two coats of nail polish. One coat of polish often doesn’t give a salon-quality finish to it. And too many coats can get clumpy and messy. Finally, your manicurist will paint on a topcoat. This coat acts to seal the coloured polish, which prevents chipping and gives your nails that desired glossy appearance.
